Stromanthe Sanguinea, sometimes called a tropical prayer plant, is a common houseplant in temperate climates, popular for its striking tri-color variegated leaves with purple undersides.

• Watering: Soil should be kept moist at all times with distilled water, but never waterlogged as the plant is susceptible to root rot.
